Philipp Plein began his career designing furniture for friends and family. He started making bag and accessories out of the pieces of leather he had left over, which he sold at exhibitions.
In 2003, he was offered to design a lounge for a German exhibition, where he also wanted to sell his accessories. He made a huge amount of money in just one day, and then his fashion brand was born a year later.
