Here at Kids-world, we have a large variety of cutlery in many different shapes and sizes. You can find spoons, forks and knives, which are designed for kids exclusively.

You can easily find high-quality cutlery from well-known brands, designed to help your kid learn eating by him/herself. Explore our large assortment and find the piece of cutlery that perfectly fits your needs and preferences.

Find your kid's first cutlery here

When your kid starts eating him/herself is an important milestone. Even though your kid has tried eating the real meal before, handling the spoon or fork him/herself is quite a big step. While teaching your kid how to use cutlery, patience plays an important role. Often enough, a lot of food will end up on the floor or down in the lap the first couple of times, but it's all part of the process.

On this page, you will be able to find your kid's first cutlery, which can help with the tricky motor task - learning to eat with a spoon, fork and knife. The cutlery on this page is designed to fit well in the kid's hand and has a size suitable for a kid's bite and mouth.

Cutlery in beautiful designs and colours

If you want to make eating a bit more fun for your child, we have cutlery in beautiful designs and colours. Typically, you will be able to find cutlery in blue, brown, grey, green, yellow, white, purple, orange, pink, red, black and turquoise colours. In addition to solid-coloured kids' cutlery, we also offer cutlery in cute and fun motifs such as rhinos, elephants, giraffes, mice, pigs, zebras, snakes, letters and cats.

It is up to you to decide whether your kid's cutlery should fit the 'adult' cutlery at home, or whether it should be a bit special. If you are looking for cutlery in a specific colour, remember that you can use a filter at the top of the page to get a quick overview.

Set with several kinds of cutlery

On this page, you can buy kids' cutlery separately or in a set consisting of several types of cutlery. This feature is quite handy because sometimes, you only lack a single spoon and then it would be nice to be able to buy only that missing part. On the other hand, it might sound like a good idea to buy a whole set - spoon, fork and knife or a set of cutlery in another combination.

When you buy a set of several kinds of kids' cutlery, then you are also sure that they match each other. Other than that, it might be less complicated for the kid to master one kind of spoon or fork before starting to use new and exciting designs.

Buy a whole set - cutlery, a plate and a cup

In addition to sets with several kinds of cutlery, we also have a complete dinner sets consisting of kids' cutlery, a plate and a cup. The dinner sets come in several different varieties. Some sets consist of a cup, a plate and a spoon - which are particularly suitable for the little ones, while others consist of a cup, a bowl, a plate, a spoon and fork or a divided plate, a cup, a spoon and a fork, which are better suited for slightly older kids. Sets including divided plates are especially suitable for kids who do not like different foods mixed on their plate, touching each other.

Last but not least, we also have some sets consisting of a bowl and a spoon - where the bowl comes with a lid, and the spoon attached to it. Such sets are especially suitable to take on the go. You do not have to pack your food in separate containers, but can simply fill the bowl with food, put the lid with the spoon on and then you are ready to go. This means fewer dishes and more space in your changing bag.

High-quality cutlery

Cutlery that we offer on this page is made of high-quality materials, approved and designed exclusively for kids. We have cutlery made of melanin plastic, polypropylene plastic and cutlery made of bamboo fibres. Besides, here you can also find cutlery which can withstand the dishwasher - which is quite an important feature on a busy day. If you would like to know more details about some cutlery available on our website - just take a look at the product description of the specific products.

When your kid should learn to eat by him/herself

When the time comes for your kid to learn to eat by him/herself, it can be quite a challenge, and it requires a lot of patience. In the start, bare hands will probably replace the cutlery, while lots of food might end up in the hair, on the floor or down the bib. That's just the way it is, and it's all a part of the process - the kid is in a phase where the food is new, and should therefore get explored with all senses. That means that your kid might often mash the food between the fingers or take it in and out of the mouth several times.

When the kid has to learn to eat by him/herself, it is a good idea to eat with the child. That way they can imitate you and at the same time see that there is nothing dangerous about the food, as you're eating the same thing.

When your kid's motor skills get a bit more developed, the kid will eventually be able to start using its very first spoon, and then fork. For the first time, there probably won't be too much food on the spoon. Therefore, it might be a good idea to feed the kid with your own spoon during those first attempts, to make sure that some food actually comes inside.

Take your child’s cutlery with you on the go

Your kid's cutlery does not only belong at the dining table in your home. You can easily take your kid's cutlery with you on the go, if you are about to visit friends and grandparents or if you are just going for an excursion. With a smart box or a lunchbox, it is easy to feed your kid when you are away from home. On this page, you can find bowls with lids that are designed to take on the go. You can find several different lunchboxes and boxes for storing food in our "Lunchbox" category.
