The Philips Avent baby monitor has DECT technology, which provides a crystal clear sound as well as a 100% secure and private connection. You can therefore be sure that you are the only one listening. This guarantees that there is no interference from others transmitter devices.
The baby monitor has a smart ECO mode which reduces automatic audio transmission and increases battery life. This means that the closer you are to the kid, the less power is needed to achieve a perfect connection.
The practical, rechargeable parent unit provides greater flexibility with up to 24 hours of monitoring before it needs to be recharged. It has an indoor range up to 50 meters and an outdoor range up to 330 meters.
The unit has 3 sound level indicators and indicates the sound level in the children's room even when the parent unit's sound is muted. With the connection indicator, you always know when the alarm is within range and connected. The parent unit notifies you when it is out of range or when the power level is low.
The baby unit can play 5 relaxing lullabies and it has a night lamp with warm and soothing light which helps the kid to fall asleep. But sometimes the only thing the baby needs is to hear your soothing voice. The baby monitor has a function where you can talk to your child no matter where you are in the house.
You can also keep an eye on the temperature and indoor climate in the children's room, by setting a custom alarm if the temperature changes.
NOTE:It is recommended that rechargeable batteries be used in the parent unit. The parent unit must not be constantly charged as it will damage the batteries. For the baby unit, it is recommended to use alkaline batteries of a good quality, as otherwise they drain the alarm for power.
