Stylish clothes from Timberland for babies, kids, and teenagers
Timberland is a clothing company known for its hard work, innovation, and love of nature. They want to inspire and equip kids and adults for the world that exists outdoors so that together we can make it better.
When Timberland manufactures a new boot, shoe, jacket, or something as simple as a T-shirt, the clothes must, in addition to being comfortable and stylish, also be environmentally friendly and its impact on nature must be minimal.
Timberland produces innovative products that help kids get out into the wild. In addition, kids become environmentally conscious when learning about the durability of different materials. They gain knowledge that the right materials and good craftsmanship lead to the clothes last for several years.
The story behind Timberlands
It started in 1952 when founder Nathan Swartz bought half of the company Abington Shoe Company. He emigrated to the United States and eventually bought out the other partner and let his sons work in the company.
Together they moved the company to Newmarket, New Hampshire. The area is known for its incredible mountains, forests, rivers, lakes, and beautiful coastal towns. New Hampshire has four distinct seasons with all kinds of weather from blizzards and rain to heatwave in summer. It is clothes for these types of weather that Timberland wants to produce.
In 1973, the original waterproof boots called ''Timberland'' were released. These 'yellow' boots set a new standard for waterproof boots. They quickly became hugely popular with outdoor enthusiasts who needed protection in all kinds of weather. The boots became so groundbreaking that the company changed the official name to Timberland in 1978 after the name of the shoes.
