Puma´s story
The story begins with two brothers, Rudolf and Adolf Dassler in the German city of Herzogenaurach in 1919. They made shoes in their parents' house before they could move production to a real factory in 1924. The shoes quickly became popular.
By 1928 many German athletes wore their shoes during the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. In 1936, Jesse Owens won four gold medals at the Olympic Games in Berlin, Germany, also wearing the shoes made by the Dassler brothers.
The brothers discontinued their collaboration and Rudolf founded the brand ''PUMA'' in 1948. His football shoe ''ATOM'' had huge success and he went on to design running shoes, tennis shoes and sportswear that many athletes around the world have worn and won many medals whilst wearing over the years.
Today, Puma is still a very popular brand for professional athletes and sportsmen and women in many different sports. They have also had many well-known ambassadors for the brand such as Rihanna, Selena Gomez and Adriana Lima.
