Susanne is the founder of Vanilla Copenhagen, and it all started when she had her first daughter 25 years ago. She already had 3 kids, for whom she had only used very basic clothes in standard colours and quality.
When she had given birth to her daughter Victoria Vanilla, she was inspired to give her some more colorful clothes of a better quality. She started sewing children's clothes and textile products with her friend Susanne Rasmussen.
The adventure started with them initially sewing duvet covers, cushion case and bedspreads. Both kids and adults in their circle loved the products, so they started sewing more and more.
Vanilla Copenhagen is set of the Mikkelsen family, and Susanne's second child works side by side with them to run the family business.
