The Champion brand has been around for more than 100 years and was founded by the Feinbloom family in Rochester, NY in 1919. In 1939, Champion created college jerseys and T-shirts with the logo from the University of Michigan.

In 1992, Champion made all the official clothes for the 27 teams that play in the U.S. Nba (National Basketball Association). They also made the clothes for all the American basketball teams between 1989 and 2001. Glen Rice also broke a world record with shoes from Champion.
