Pacifiers in different materials
Babies and kids are different and therefore of course we also have pacifiers in different materials. Some pacifiers come in natural rubber (also called latex), while others come in silicone. One type of pacifier is not necessarily better than the other, but if there is a latex or rubber allergy in the family, you should go for silicone pacifiers.

Flat or round pacifiers

Maintenance of baby pacifiers
Both babies and children's pacifiers must be kept clean like everything else, so that they do not transfer bacteria to the kid. There are certain precautions that parents can take when it comes to the kid's pacifier.
If your baby's or child's pacifier is dropped on the floor, for example, or if it has been some time since the pacifier was last used, you should wash it thoroughly. At the same time, it is a good idea not to suck on the pacifier before you put the pacifier in the kid mouth. You risk infecting each other.
There are different guidelines for how pacifiers should be cleaned depending on what they are made of. silicone Pacifiers can typically withstand being boiled, while it is usually recommended that natural rubber and latex pacifiers are simply poured with boiling water and law to soak in the water for a pair minutes.
Remember to 'empty' the pacifiers of water after they have been washed, so that bacteria cannot form inside the pacifier.
If you have to Have extra pacifiers with you on a trip, it can be a good idea to store the clean pacifiers in a little, cleaned plastic box with a tight-fitting lid, so that they don't lie around in bag or pocket. In this way, you are ensured that there are always clean pacifiers ready for your child, even when you are away from home.

Many parents are large successful in buying pacifiers of the same colour, so that the educators at the day care center can tell the difference between the pacifier.
