More about Kappa's history 

In 1956, faulty socks entered the market, and thus the shops sent them back. After that, many of their customers ordered the socks with the K on, and this is how Kappa became a leader in the sock and underwear market. 

In 1968, the then 23-year-old Maurizio and grandson of the founder saw John Lennon, on television wearing a green military shirt from the Vietnam War. This gave him the idea to create a collection of casual unisex clothes. He created many T-shirts that were all colored in shades of green. 

This was the start of the brand Robe di Kappa which became extremely popular among younger generations. Even the logg Omini was created, which is the motif of a young couple sitting back to back against each other. It symbolizes that the clothes are unisex and that they are perfect for both men and women. 

Shortly before 2000 Kappa became the technical sponsor of Italy's national football team and during the 2002 World Cup they used Kappa's KOMBAT. KOMBAT is an innovative T-shirt that can be stretched up to a meter if another player grabs it.
