The New Balance shoes are closed over the instep with a wide Velcro strap for easy and quick adjustment. Inside there is textile with good padding around the opening, and on the bottom there are removable insoles. The outsoles are made of flexible rubber with a practical tread pattern under the bottom, which ensures good footing.
