The Philips Avent the baby monitor features DECT technology, which provides crystal-clear sound and a 100% secure and private connection. You can therefore be sure that you are the only one listening in. This guarantees that there will be no interference from others transmitting devices.
The baby monitor has an ECO mode that automatically reduces sound transmission and increases battery life. This means that the closer you are to kid, the less power is needed to achieve a perfect connection. The parent unit notifies you when it is out of range or when the power level is low.
Lights activate to indicate the sound level in the baby's room, even if the sound on the parent unit is muted. It has an indoor range of up to 50 meters and an outdoor range of up to 330 meters.
The baby unit has a night lamp with warm and soothing light that helps the kid fall asleep.
The parent unit works perfectly with mains power, but you can get extra mobility by inserting batteries for cordless use. It allows for up to 24 hours of wireless roaming before recharging is required. Dog, this depends on the type of batteries used.
NOTE: It is recommended that rechargeable batteries be used in the parent unit. The parent unit should not be left on charge continuously as this will damage the batteries. It is recommended to use alkaline batteries. The baby unit does not use batteries but has a Fast cord and must therefore be connected to a power source.
